Custom work for a Special Dog

Our customer wanted a decorative gate and fence that complimented his Old Louisville Home and kept his dog in the yard.

We designed this gate and fence with dog run pickets. Needless to say both the customer and his dog were thrilled with the result!

We Do Custom Iron Work

Most folks when they come to our showroom want to have custom iron work done for railing or doors. Although we do our fair share of those items we also do a number of “outside the box” creations including signs, shutters and this cute doggie door.

One of our customers wanted a special opening for her dogs but also wanted it secure. This doggie door is made out of 16 gauge steel with a double cylinder deadbolt. We can also put these doggie doors in actual doors so your furry friends can come and go as they like.

Thief Thwarted

We have long heralded the quality of our entry doors from Provia. Indeed they look great but the quality is remarkable. The picture below is a Provia entry door where a thief has tried to gain entry.

Our guess is the person behind this attempted break-in initially tried to kick the door in and then used some type of pry bar. Despite their efforts, they could not get the door open.

Why you ask? First of all, the overall door is made of 20 gauge steel which is 49% thicker than the typical entry door from a big box retailer. Second, the jamb the deadbolt locks into is reinforced with a 20 gauge steel security plate. Third, the lock and deadbolt area are made with a rigid composite lock block. All this adds up to one secure customer and one very disappointed thief!

Timeless Beauty

We were out at a customer’s house the other day and couldn’t help but marvel at their beautiful front door. Then it dawned on us…that beautiful front door is a door we installed over 5 years ago!! It still looks great don’t you think?

The Amish craftsmanship of this door from Provia is remarkable – 5 years exposed to the elements and there is no fading, peeling, cracking, glue oozing, tarnishing, or paint chipping. The homeowner hasn’t done a thing to it since they bought it. What a door!

Brad’s New Door

“Looks great,” is the response we got from this homeowner. This new entryway from Provia has a lot going for it besides being beautiful.

The door is guaranteed for a lifetime and it’s Energy Star compliant. That means this door will save on your energy bills AND qualify for a federal tax credit.

Although this entryway looks like wood, it’s made out of fiberglass. The fiberglass makes it virtually maintenance free – no more splitting, cracking or peeling here!

Louisville Home Sales Up

Louisville’s Business First reported that the number of homes sold in February 2013 was one of the highest in five years. The average selling price was $159,598 – up 1.83% from last year.
